The INFINITI luxury crossover and SUV lineup is about to gain a new member. The premium car brand recently announced that it will be introducing a new luxury sport utility coupe to its lineup: the INFINITI QX55.
While the brand has released no information about the vehicle beyond its name, it did release a brushstroke image that highlights the new crossover’s roofline. The roofline appears to be inspired by the brand’s first-generation FX performance crossover.
“Customers will appreciate the distinctive design of the QX55, which features a sporty coupe-like roofline,” said Mike Colleran, INFINITI Motor Company’s Deputy Chairman. “We know customers and retailers are eagerly looking forward to the QX55, which will be available next year.”
Based on the new vehicle’s nomenclature, we can guess that it will sit between the current QX50 and QX60 in the INFINITI crossover and SUV lineup. With the promised coupe design, expect the QX55 to be a compact, sporty vehicle — one that might compete with the likes of the BMW X4, Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, and other models in the increasingly popular crossover coupe segment.
You can expect the QX55 to arrive on dealership lots across North America — and here at INFINITI Downtown — sometime during the summer of 2020.
